How I can help

Anxiety

Anxiety is a natural response to threat, but it can become exhausting when worry, fear or physical symptoms begin to shape everyday decisions. CBT can help you understand the cycle and gradually regain choice and confidence.

What this can look like

Presentations can differ from person to person.

You do not need to identify with every example or have a formal diagnosis to begin a conversation.

How CBT may help

Understanding the pattern and finding a different way forward

Map the anxiety cycle

Notice how thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions influence one another.

Work with anxious predictions

Explore the meaning you give to situations and develop more balanced, useful perspectives.

Reduce avoidance safely

Plan gradual, manageable steps towards situations anxiety has encouraged you to avoid.

Build practical coping skills

Develop strategies for worry, attention, problem-solving and responding to physical anxiety.

What sessions might involve

Collaborative, practical and paced around you

We may use a shared CBT formulation, worry awareness, graded exposure, behavioural experiments and between-session practice. Nothing is forced: we agree each step together and review what you learn.

Feeling anxious sometimes does not necessarily mean you have an anxiety disorder. Therapy focuses on the impact the experience is having on your life.
